On Saturday, 13th November 2010, Kidigym had a Parent Day at Richards Bay Primary School. Kidi-gymnasts, from various schools and pre-schools, took part and showed their parents their routines.

On Saturday, 29th November 2009, Kidigym had their annual parent day. 320 Children took part from most of the schools and pre-school in and around Richards Bay. Every kidi-gymnast received a medal, for participation, and sweets! From the age 6 to 9 years there's a formal competition and prices (certificates, medals and trophees) are award to the first 6 places.

6-year old category:

On Thursday, 3 September 2009, Kidigym presented a rope skipping competition at Arboretum Primary School. Three schools competed: Grantleigh, the Richards Bay Christian School and Arboretum Primary. Arboretum took the trophee as the best School team and the Richards Bay Christian School’s teachers won their category. The children competed in 4 categories: Stretch jump, criss cross, speed skipping and single rope.

Grantleigh's Aerobic Marathon on 25 June 2009 was a huge success. Interesting themes, wonderful spirit and great enthusiasm was evident on this day. The marathon was led by Kidigym's Christine van der Merwe supported by Lorraine Miller, Denise Howard (hoonoze.com) and Chris Louw (Virgin Active).

On Wednesday, 24 June 2009, Arboretum Primary School had a glorious fun day with their Hip Hop Rave. This is a fundraising event organized by Kidigym's Christine van der Merwe. The day was marked with enthusiastic participation of teachers, children (and parents!) dressed in colourful interesting costumes.

On Friday, the 8th May 2009, Club Kidigym joined Mrs Pretorius's adventure club at Ricardia: A fun-filled afternoon followed: An Aerobic warm-up with music; a gumnastic/agility circuit; a hoola hoop and rope skipping competitions and lastly a dance competition, where the best girl and boy each won a hoola hoop.

On Saturday, 22nd November Kidigym had their annual parent day. 342 children took part at different times in different age groups during the day. The Kidi-gymnasts performed 5 different routines to show their parents a glimpse of what they learned during the year in Kidigym. From the age of 6 years and up a proper competition takes place and appointed judges will mark their performance. EACH child receives a medal for participation, because in Kidigym every child is a WINNER.

On Saturday, 22 November 2008, Kidigym also hosted a rope skipping competition between Arboretum Primary, Grantleigh and the Richards Bay Christian School. Arboretum Primary won the team competition: From left to right: Gerhardt Hattingh; JP le Roux, Freedom Mkhonza and Bianca Nel.

Bianca Nel also came out tops with the highest mark for all the Individuals and walked away with the Floating Trophee for the highest score: JP le Roux won a silwer medal for his second place. Well done; Arboretum!
Third place went to Zenhlanhla Nzuza of Richards Bay Christian School. 4th Place were shared between Michelle Dube of Grantleigh and Erica Myburgh of Richards Bay Christian School. 5th Place went to Freedom Mkhonza of Arboretum and Chris Beningfield of Grantleigh claimed the 6th place. |
